While exploring Toul Tom Phoung on last weekend, I revisited the charming Mr. Piccolo Coffee—a coffee gem run by the talented Chak who serves as owner, barista, AND baker! His homemade cakes are baked right above the coffee shop in his tiny kitchen. He learned the recipes from the chef at his previous workplace.

I love connecting with passionate business owners, and Chak's story is truly inspiring. He launched Mr. Piccolo Coffee right after Covid-19 as a way to create sustainable income after working at Feel Good Coffee—a remarkable social enterprise that empowers local Cambodian staff to start their own businesses.

Fun fact: "Piccolo" means "small" in Italian (like a small latte), perfectly fitting for this cozy coffee shop tucked away at the corner of Street 446 and Street 123.
Next time when you visit Phnom Penh and exploring Toul Tom Phoung, treat yourself to a morning coffee or afternoon treat at Mr. Piccolo. The intimate atmosphere, quality brews, and homemade baked cakes make it worth seeking out.
